Sparkasse Bank Makedonija AD Skopje – member of Steiermärkische Sparkasse 

The Sparkasse brand has been a symbol of security, trust and stable development for nearly two centuries. The tradition of trust that began in the Steiermärkische Sparkasse in Graz, Austria, is now present also in Macedonia.

Sparkasse Bank was established on 29.12.1992 under the name Investbanka AD Skopje. From the outset, it has proven its active role in introducing and staying abreast of new banking trends:

  • The first bank to receive an operating license from the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia following the gaining of monetary independence;
  • The first bank to receive a license from the National Bank of Macedonia to perform domestic payment operations;

  • Initiator and founder of the Macedonian Stock Exchange;
  • Among the first banks in the Republic of Macedonia to introduce electronic banking;
