Sparkasse Bank was established on 29.12.1992 under the name Investbanka AD Skopje. From the outset, it has proven its active role in introducing and staying abreast of new banking trends:

  • The first bank to receive an operating license from the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia following the gaining of monetary independence;
  • The first bank to receive a license from the National Bank of Macedonia to perform domestic payment operations;
  • The first to establish a brokerage house - Investbroker AD Skopje;
  • Initiator and founder of the Macedonian Stock Exchange;
  • Among the first banks in the Republic of Macedonia to introduce electronic banking;
  • The first and only bank to service the IFAD 1 credit line since 1998 and to disburse the first loan from the IFAD 2 credit line for the development of agriculture and livestock grazing.
