AT economy grows marginally

Short Note Major Markets , 6. Juni
According to Statistics Austria, the Austrian economy grew slightly in the first quarter, up 0.1% on the previous quarter. However, gross domestic product contracted by 0.5% for the year as a whole, marking the eighth consecutive quarter of decline. A look at the components of GDP reveals a mixed picture: private consumption and gross investment increased, while exports continued to decline. Advance effects in connection with US tariffs, as observed in Germany, for example, are unlikely to have had any impact on the Austrian economy.
