EU funds to boost CEE growth

As a response to the crisis, the EU proposed a generous budget that consists of a Multiannual Financial Framework for 2021-27 (EUR 1.1bn) and a recovery plan – Next Generation EU (EUR 750mn). CEE should utilize the Next Generation budget and finance longer-term reforms and investments. In particular, it may be a unique chance to advance the digital network and skills as well as e-government services. We see Next Generation EU funds as mainly a growth-positive factor in the medium and long term.
