AT: Inflation at 3.5% in February

Statistics Austria has published a flash estimate of Austrian inflation for February today. Inflation, as measured by the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP), was 3.5% y/y and thus increased slightly from January's reading of 3.4%. Inflation as measured by the consumer price index (CPI) rose slightly compared to January and stood at 3.3% y/y. This means that inflation in Austria remains well above the ECB's target of 2% for the eurozone average.
