Research

Corporate Archives is not only a collection of historical records, but also a place of research. We tap into sources that open up new perspectives on the history of Erste Group, the savings bank movement in Austria and the former monarchy, as well as the role of money in the economy and society.

Our projects combine academic work with social relevance: from the evaluation of historical documents and the analysis of image and film material to digital methods of archival work. We focus not only on corporate history, but also on issues of everyday life, culture and social change, which are reflected in our holdings.

Gain an insight into our research activities through selected current and past projects.
