Social commitment
Ever since our foundation more than 200 years ago, we have seen it as our social responsibility to provide access to basic financial products for everyone in our region. Therefore, we support those who are affected by poverty or social exclusion not only with financial but also non-financial services to enable economic growth and prosperity in our region. After all, social commitment is deeply rooted in our history and remains part of our DNA.
Zweite Sparkasse
Financial literacy
With "FLiP", the Erste Financial Life Park, we support children and young people in improving their financial literacy. FLiP promotes financial self-responsibility, takes precautions against individual over-indebtedness and thus ultimately also contributes to poverty prevention.
Time Bank
The Time Bank is the Erste Group’s volunteering platform. It organizes time and in kind donations and enables employees to engage in social activities with ease.
It connects interested employees with suitable partner organizations – from individual to team volunteering opportunities.
Whether through hands on support, in-kind donations, or rapid assistance during ad hoc initiatives, the Time Bank strengthens social cohesion and makes community engagement visible within the company.
Together with various aid organizations, teams support a wide range of projects. The Time Bank also serves as a marketing platform for our partner organizations.
ERSTE Stiftung
As the Austrian private savings bank foundation, ERSTE Foundation is not only obliged to act in a charitable manner, but also bears a special responsibility as the main shareholder of Erste Group. ERSTE Foundation is an effective partner of a strong, self-confident civil society in Central and South-Eastern Europe and focuses on financial health for all, the preservation of a democratic Europe as well as free spaces for contemporary culture.
