Forfaiting /
Accounts receivable purchasing

Optimise your risk and your balance sheet.

Purchase of receivables means selling domestic and foreign trade payments owed to Erste Group.

It is possible to sell new amounts of money owed repeatedly as they happen. People can sell both secured and unsecured debts. Security can be abstract and not linked to the transaction. For example, this happens with a Letter of Credit or a bank guarantee. You can also sell money that others owe you with an export guarantee from the Austrian Export Credit Agency or private risk insurance.

Your benefits:

  • Flexible alternative to obtain liquidity
  • Risk covering
  • Improvement of Working Capital
  • Increase of equity ratio through balance sheet contraction
  • Hedging of currency translation risks when invoicing in foreign exchange possible

Here's how forfaiting works:

Prerequisites:

  • Minimum volume of approximately EUR 150,000
  • Payment terms of minimum 60 days
  • Appropriate collateral or acceptable creditworthiness
  • Any refinanceable currency possible
