Best Execution for ETFs and Fixed Income
More than just a simple regulatory exercise.
Best Execution can either be a legal requirement or a customer request. In any case, we focus on execution quality and documentation when executing orders in order to achieve the best possible result.
Best Execution – ETFs
RFQ trading (Request for Quote) is currently the preferred method for executing ETF orders.
Our trading system MATS simultaneously sends requests to up to 15 market makers and other liquidity providers. MATS documents the results transparently, and thus ensures execution at the best possible price.
Upon request, we can provide you with a detailed audit trail including all order and execution parameters.
Note: For buy or sell orders, please include the order routing text: ETF RFQ.
Best Execution – Fixed Income
To ensure best execution, Erste Group may use electronic trading platforms to execute orders.
Our trading system MATS forwards your order to the respective MTFs. In the background, prices are obtained from all available brokers. Within the RFQ (Request for Quote) the best price in the request cycle is drawn.
If no results (liquidity or price) are available on the MTF's, we will try to achieve a result on alternative channels like issuer or exchanges.
Upon client request, detailed "Audit Trails" are available to banks and asset managers with all order and execution parameters at the given time.
All other bond structures for example 3rd party products etc need to be actively priced by the issuer on the MTF in order to assure a trade.
