Erste Bank Sells Interests in Hotels

In line with its strategy of focusing exclusively on the banking business, Erste Bank has initiated the sale last year, which was concluded today by signing the sales agreement with the new owners. Its shares were transferred in their entirety to two companies controlled by Mr. Huemer, CEO of POLYTEC Group. The contracting parties have agreed to keep the sales price and the transaction details confidential. Nothing will change for hotel guests, as the Falkensteiner Michaeler Tourism Group, which manages the Hotel & Spa Leonfelden since 2009 and the Balance Resort Stegersbach since 2011, remains the operator. Thomas Uher, CEO of Erste Bank Oesterreich: “With the new owner we have put in place a sustainable solution for the further development of the Falkensteiner hotels as leading tourism operations in their regions.”
