Erste Bank seeking 25 new trainees

The application phase for a banking traineeship at Erste Bank is currently underway, and will remain open until 6 June.

Erste Bank is rated by prospective trainees as one of the most popular and reliable employers in Austria. And this remains true despite the current coronavirus crisis, for the company is continuing its operations as planned for its 80 trainees – the only change being that things are primarily taking place digitally. ‘Broad training is the best safe-guard for the future, which is why we place great importance on ensuring our trainees can continue their courses during the coronavirus crisis at the same high level as before’ says Sabine Minarsky, Head of HR at Erste Bank. Much of the comprehensive training content, and even preparation for final examinations, is currently being imparted via video conferences and web-based training sessions.

25 new trainees from September

Even this year, another 25 young people will be taken on and trained as bankers, with the course commencing in September. It is set at a very high technical level, while also being heavily focused on practical components. Over the three years of the traineeship, participants spend time in various areas of sales every year, as a way of becoming intensively familiarised with all aspects of banking operations. But self-development is also a key element of the course. The current coronavirus crisis has meant new trainees are primarily being selected via video interview. Anyone interested has until 6/6/2020 to apply at www.erstebank.at/lehre.
