Erste Group wins "Best Bank in CEE" award from Euromoney

  • “Best Bank in Central and Eastern Europe” award for Erste Group
  • “Best Banks” awards for Erste subsidiary banks in Austria, Czechia
  • Additional distinctions for Corporate Responsibility and Customer Experience

Erste Group has once again been recognized as the “Best Bank in Central and Eastern Europe” by Euromoney in the industry publication’s just-published round of Awards for Excellence. In addition, Erste Group’s banking subsidiaries in Austria and Czechia won Euromoney’s “best bank” distinctions for their local markets. Erste’s strong focus on Corporate Responsibility was honored by awards at both the CEE level and for Slovakia, while its strength in Customer Experience was highlighted in an award for the Hungarian market.

Awards in Austria, Czechia, Slovakia and Hungary

In addition to winning the “Best Bank” distinction for the CEE region as a whole, Erste Group was also honored as CEE’s Best Bank for Corporate Responsibility.

Moreover, Euromoney presented a number of Erste’s banking subsidiaries in the region with awards for their local markets:

  • Austria: “Best Bank” for Erste Bank und Sparkassen
  • Czechia: “Best Bank” for Česká spořitelna
  • Slovakia: “Best Bank for Corporate Responsibility” for Slovenská sporiteľňa
  • Hungary: “Best Bank for Customer Experience” for Erste Bank Hungary

Established in 1992, Euromoney’s annual Awards for Excellence acknowledge stand-out performance in the global banking industry. The specialist publication’s award decisions are made by a committee of Euromoney senior journalists, following the receipt of detailed submissions from market participants and extensive year-round research into the banking and capital markets in the region.
