Best Bank in CEE region
At Erste Group, nearly 46,000 employees strive to provide our customers with the best banking advice and services each and every day. Our commitment to excellence in Austria and Central and Eastern Europe ("CEE") has earned us numerous “best bank” awards from a wide range of prestigious banking industry publications and institutions, including The Banker and Euromoney.
Euromoney recently once again honored Erste Group as the “Best Bank in CEE”. Erste’s subsidiary banks in Austria and the Czech Republic were also recently named “Best Bank” in their respective markets by Euromoney.
We are also very pleased that, for the fourth consecutive year, the Austrian Financial Marketing Association honoured us with the Recommender Award, confirming our customers’ high level of satisfaction and willingness to recommend us. Additionally, our bank was awarded the quality seal for “Excellent Customer Orientation”.
The 2025 study conducted by Brand Finance also recognised Erste Group for its exceptional customer loyalty and brand strength, ranking it as the sole Austrian representative among Europe’s most valuable brands.

Best bank for social responsibility
At its latest “Awards for Excellence”, the finance magazine Euromoney once again recognised Erste Group for its significant social engagement across the whole of CEE and specifically in Slovakia, earning Erste Group the title of “Best Bank for Corporate Responsibility”.
We foster diversity and inclusion
Erste Bank Austria has been recognised with the Diversity Award for its commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion. Many of the bank’s employees are actively involved in networks such as the Erste Women’s Hub to support female empowerment, Erste Colours to make the LGBTQ+ community visible, and Erste Ability to support people with disabilities.

Best Private Banking
We are immensely proud that the industry publications PWM and The Banker recognised our services as the best Private Banking in Central and Eastern Europe for the 12th time in a row, and also as the best Private Banking in Austria for the 10th consecutive year.
Furthermore, Erste Private Banking received multiple awards from Euromoney, being named “Best Bank” on several occasions. In addition to the title of “Best Private Bank” in Austria and Romania, Euromoney also honoured Erste Private Banking as “Best for Discretionary Portfolio Management” in Austria and Croatia, as “Best for High Net Worth Individuals” in Austria and as “Best Chief Investment Office in CEE”.
