Best Bank in CEE region
At Erste Group, close to 55,000 employees strive to provide our customers with the best banking advice and services each and every day. Our commitment to excellence in Austria and Central Europe ("CEE") has earned us numerous “best bank” awards from a wide range of prestigious banking industry publications and institutions, including The Banker and Euromoney.
Euromoney ranked Erste Group number one in CEE in its latest Trade Finance Study for customer service, products and technology.
We are also very pleased that, for the fourth consecutive year, the Austrian Financial Marketing Association honoured us with the Recommender Award, confirming our customers’ high level of satisfaction and willingness to recommend us. Additionally, our bank was awarded the quality seal for “Excellent Customer Orientation”.
The 2025 study conducted by Brand Finance also recognised Erste Group for its exceptional customer loyalty and brand strength, ranking it as the sole Austrian representative among Europe’s most valuable brands.

We are happy to report that our app Alles Clara was honoured with both the Innovation in Politics Award 2025 and the World Summit Austria Award 2025. Developed by us to support family caregivers, the app has become a leading example of digital social innovation across Europe, demonstrating how technology can provide immediate, hands-on support to caregiving families. Alles Clara makes a meaningful contribution to people’s health, well-being and social inclusion.

We were also recognised with the VÖNIX Award – underscoring our commitment to sustainable investment in the Austrian capital market. For 20 years, the VBV Sustainability Index has demonstrated that responsible business practices and strong performance go hand in hand.
Education transforms the future
The Erste Financial Life Park app, which introduces young people to the concept of money and finance in an engaging manner, was distinguished with the eAward.
To date, over 110,000 young people have visited the Erste Financial Life Park, and more than 50,000 visitors across Austria have gained financial literacy through the mobile financial education bus FLiP2Go.

At the CEE Property Forum 2025 in Vienna, we received the “Financing Story of the Year – more than EUR 300 million” award, and we were also distinguished with the “Financing Story of the Year” award at the SEE Property Forum in Bucharest.
Awards for the quality and sustainability of our funds
A number of prestigious national and international awards underscore once again the exceptional quality of our funds and the innovative power of our products.
The Austrian Chamber of Labour's sustainable investment check confirmed that Erste Asset Management (Erste AM) meets the highest standards and sets benchmarks for sustainable investing.

Erste AM also earned renewed recognition from Forum for Sustainable Investments (FNG), with all 25 sustainability and ethics funds submitted receiving the FNG quality seal with the highest rating of three stars.
Another of our funds, the ERSTE BOND EM LOCAL, was distinguished for the first time. Focusing on local currency-denominated bonds from emerging markets and a comprehensive ESG approach, its sustainability credentials have now been confirmed by FNG based on an independent review.
