Online Banking is Expanded: George now with Securities Trading and Online Credit
- Two major innovations in online banking with George
- Securities trading including stocks, investment funds, etc. possible
- New: online loans in a few minutes
The digital banking platform George has grown to more than 850,000 users over the past two years. With the growing number of users, its functionality and services have broadened as well. The George store currently offers two exciting innovations: the important function of securities trading has been launched and selected customers will find a pre-approved online loan in the George store, which is credited to one's account within a few minutes.
George Securities Trading
Henceforth customers of the Sparkassen Group will be able to trade securities online through the digital banking platform George. “With that customers are able to place and manage securities orders on their own at any time”, says Thomas Schaufler, chief retail officer of Erste Bank. “The new possibility to buy and sell securities in George is ideal for both self-directed investors, as well as for customers who want to use the function in addition to obtaining advice in their branch office.”
The market data platform integrated in George provides investors with current information on securities, indexes, as well as economic data from various countries and financial news. During market hours, stocks, ETFs, investment funds, certificates and options can be traded, while off-market transactions in e.g. investment funds or in certificates in direct trading with issuers are possible as well. A price alert can be set for any security – whether it is held in one's portfolio or not - which sends a notification via SMS or email as soon as the selected price level has been reached. For an existing portfolio the securities trading function can be activated directly in George, where in the course of the activation one's risk profile can be chose and adjusted.
